Working Woman

Art as a learning process

I have no formal training in art.  Therefore, I lack skills such as sketching figures, faces, oil painting, charcoals, etc.  In an attempt to try to classify myself, which always ends up contrived or egotistical, I guess I could be considered an "outsider" artist.  However, I have been working to try to improve my skills, lately, at drawing simple sketches of people (and have them not look like insane characters), while at the same time using this learning process as a form of expression.  These are some of the products.

Anderson's Glasses

In order to avoid wearing his reading glasses like Morpheus from the Matrix, Anderson was forced to fashion his own means of keeping his glasses attached to his face.  The solution... popsicle sticks and masking tape.

Wylie's house.

Growing up, my friend Wylie has always had one of the most interesting houses.  So I took some pictures of it.

Murder T-shirts

Zac Easom printed up some shirts for us, and they're pretty awesome.  We look like psychos.

Hysteria/Waiting for the Apocalypse

I found this picture on the internet, along with many others like it, and found it fascinating on many levels.  People seem to prefer coping with the problems we create, as opposed to attempting to make the world a better place.  We just have to wait it out here on Earth until heaven... right?

The drive home from Atlanta.

I forgot which town this was on highway 319.  I think it was either Moultrie or Coolidge.
